Application

These multi-core control cables are designed for industrial automation, control circuits, and instrumentation, offering flexibility with unarmoured (YY) or enhanced mechanical protection with galvanised steel strip (YFY) or wire (YWY) armouring, suitable for indoor, outdoor, or buried installations.

Cable Construction

  • Conductor: Copper conductor, solid (Class 1) or stranded (Class 2) as per IS 8130.
  • Insulation: PVC Type A as per IS 5831 (Option: HR PVC Type C).
  • Core Colors: Up to 5 cores by color coding; more than 5 cores by number printing as per IS 1554 Part 1.
  • Inner Sheath: PVC or PVC tape as per IS 1554 Part 1.
  • Armouring: Single armouring with galvanised steel strip (YFY) or wire (YWY) for armoured cables.
  • Outer Sheath: PVC Type ST-1 as per IS 5831 (Options: PVC Type ST-2, FR Type, FRLS Type).
  • Cable Color: Black (Options: Any other color as per requirement).

Cable Design Parameters

While ordering, please specify the following details: Class of Conductor (Class 1 or 2), Insulation Type (PVC Type A or C), and Sheath Type (PVC Type ST-1, ST-2, FR, or FRLS).
